Give it up for the 3rd century Anatolian saint…
By Kim Knox/Rees | April 23, 2008
Yep, no drinking, no silly costumes, no day off (extreme booooo about that one) but as of today 10 Downing Street also gets to fly his flag. And it’s also raised the discussion of ‘pole superiority’ concerning the national and union flag… Hmm a discussion of pole superiority…nope, not there going, lolol
Anyway, here’s a nice shiny of St George, doing what he does best… Riding naked and bareback on a horse whilst slaying a wyrm *grin*

Well, Turkey is warm and there’s the ancient warfare technique of fighting naked to avoid infection…so anything’s possible

fighting naked to avoid infection? fascinating. I’d love to see some more information on that.

I took a course on Ancient Egyptian Warfare a few years back. The lecturer said they fought naked so that if wounded the fabric of their clothes/armour didn’t enter the wound and cause infection.
I don’t have any interwebby links about it, sorry. I think they’re hiding this information in books, instead. Booo. lol
